Thread & Seek is operated by Fado, Inc. (“Thread & Seek,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We operate this store and website, including related information, content, features, tools, products, and services, in order to provide you with a curated shopping experience.

Thread & Seek is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide our store and related services to you. These Terms of Service, together with any policies referenced here, describe your rights and responsibilities when you visit our site, make a purchase, contact us, or otherwise interact with us.

Please read these Terms carefully. By visiting, interacting with, or using our site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms or our Privacy Policy, you should not use or access our site.

Access and Account

By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority and have given us consent to allow any minor dependents to use this site on devices you own, purchase, or manage.

To use certain parts of the site, including placing an order, you may be asked to provide information such as your email address, billing information, payment information, and shipping information. You represent and warrant that the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.

Our Products

We make every effort to represent our products accurately. However, colors, scale, texture, and product appearance may vary slightly based on your device, screen settings, lighting, production method, and the nature of woven textiles.

Thread & Seek pieces are woven objects. Small variations in color, texture, sizing, alignment, fringe, and finishing may occur. These variations are part of the nature of textile production and are not considered defects unless the product is damaged, materially incorrect, or otherwise does not conform to the order.

All product descriptions, pricing, and availability are subject to change at any time without notice. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time and to limit quantities offered to any person, geographic region, or jurisdiction.

Orders

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline your order for any reason at our discretion. Your order is not accepted until we confirm acceptance and process payment.

Please review your order carefully before submitting it. We may be unable to accommodate cancellation or change requests after an order is accepted, especially once production, personalization, or fulfillment has begun.

If we do not accept an order, make a change to an order, or cancel an order, we will attempt to notify you using the email address or other contact information provided at the time the order was placed.

Your purchases are subject to return or exchange only in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy.

You represent and warrant that purchases are for your own personal or household use and not for commercial resale or export.

Commissioned Pieces

Commissioned pieces are custom or personalized works created from information you provide, such as words, names, dates, phrases, themes, or other details. By submitting information for a commissioned piece, you represent that you have the right to provide and use that information and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

Commissioned pieces require creative judgment and design discretion. While we use the information you provide to create the piece, final decisions about composition, layout, word placement, grid structure, direction, spacing, balance, and other design details remain at the discretion of Thread & Seek.

Commissioned pieces may not be eligible for cancellation, return, or refund once work has begun, except where required by law or where the item arrives damaged, defective, or materially incorrect. If proofs, previews, or approval steps are provided, you are responsible for reviewing all details carefully before approval.

Unless expressly agreed in writing, purchasing a commissioned piece gives you ownership of the physical product only. It does not transfer ownership of the underlying design system, grid, artwork files, source files, concepts, process, templates, methods, intellectual property, or other materials used to create the piece.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel a commissioned piece if submitted content is unlawful, offensive, harmful, misleading, infringing, or otherwise inconsistent with the nature of the work.

Prices and Billing

Prices, discounts, and promotions are subject to change without notice. The price charged for a product or service will be the price in effect at the time the order is placed and will be shown in your order confirmation email.

Unless otherwise stated, posted prices do not include taxes, shipping, handling, customs, duties, import charges, or other fees that may apply.

We may offer promotions from time to time. Promotions may be governed by separate terms and conditions. If there is a conflict between promotion terms and these Terms, the promotion terms will govern for that promotion.

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase, payment, and account information for all purchases. You represent and warrant that you are authorized to use the payment method provided and that you will pay all charges incurred at the posted prices, including shipping, handling, and applicable taxes.

Shipping and Delivery

Shipping and delivery timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs processing, incorrect addresses, weather, production delays, or events outside our control.

Please make sure your shipping address is complete and accurate when placing an order. If a package is returned, delayed, or lost because of an incomplete or incorrect address, additional costs may apply.

Once a product is transferred to the carrier, risk of loss may pass to you to the fullest extent permitted by law. Please review our Shipping Policy for more information.

Intellectual Property

Our site and services, including but not limited to our trademarks, names, logos, product names, product designs, text, photographs, graphics, images, videos, audio, layouts, grids, design systems, processes, and the selection and arrangement of these materials, are owned by Thread & Seek, Fado, Inc., our affiliates, or our licensors, and are protected by intellectual property laws.

These Terms permit you to use the site for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, transmit, copy, scrape, extract, or otherwise use any material from the site or our products without our prior written consent.

Thread & Seek’s names, logos, product names, designs, slogans, and related marks may not be used without prior written permission. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Thread & Seek.

Thread & Seek is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide our store and related services to you. However, any sales and purchases you make through our store are made directly with Thread & Seek.

By using our site, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of sales between you and Thread & Seek, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products or services. You expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with Thread & Seek.

Personal information we collect through the site is subject to our Privacy Policy. Certain personal information may also be subject to Shopify’s privacy practices. By using the site, you acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy.
